MINCHA ACTIVITIES
~ Sacred Time

Following our afternoon classes and dinner, Mincha Time offers opportunities for enrichment... and rest. This will be your personal Sacred Time to nourish your body and soul through a variety of optional activities that include: Torah Circles, davvening, prayer movement, hiking, or the sweet luxury of an afternoon nap!

TORAH CIRCLES:

Torah Circles create space for people with all levels of Jewish background – from beginner to scholar – to learn together and build sacred community at amazingly deep levels of mind, heart and soul. As the wisdom of the group grows stronger and clearer with practice, the Circle becomes the Rebbe. We will study the week's parsha, Re’ey, and commentaries, together with ushpizin, honored guests, among the rabbis and teachers at Ruach. Our goal is for all of us to share a profound Torah learning experience, and for you to be capable of initiating Torah Circles in your own community.

Aryae Coopersmith
Founder & CEO of the HR Forums, a community of human resource leaders in knowledge & innovation based industries. Co-founder of the House of Love and Prayer in 1968, and author of Holy Beggars: A Journey from Haight Street to Jerusalem, Aryae has been practicing and leading Torah Circles, including at the Aleph Kallah and Ruach Ha-Aretz, for 27 years.

Wendy Berk
Nurse practitioner, health educator, student of spirituality and healing, Wendy is also an experienced music leader in Jewish Renewal services. She's practiced and led Torah Circles with her husband Aryae, including at the Aleph Kallah and Ruach HaAretz, for 12 years.
