EXCITING
PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS!
Ruach
Ha’Aretz sets the standard for fabulously fun and creative programs for
children. It’s an exciting, joyful, and nurturing Jewish renewal experience
filled with music, play, sports, crafts and davvening as a deeply personal expression.
An inclusive and participatory program for teens is also an integral part of
the Ruach experience.
Older teens may also choose to attend any of the adult classes and workshops.
Children and teens at Ruach Ha’Aretz enjoy a balance of their own activities,
and opportunities to be fully integrated into the greater Ruach Community during
mealtimes, recreation time, evening programs and Shabbat.
This year, Ruach Ha'Aretz is thrilled to have Hod Kessler and Amitai Gross co-directing the Ruach Kids Program.
I am Hod Kessler. I look forward to spending a great Ruach with your kid(s). A little about myself: I have a lot of experience with children, including working with the kids program full time at the last Kallah, as well as at Ruach in '08 and Ruach in '06. My specialty is sports and active programs. I am a highschool baseball coach and like to do all sports with the kids. I have worked with every age group from toddlers up to teenagers. I also have a background in creative writing, which was my major at UC-Davis, and will look to incorporate that into the program as well. I have been around the renewal experience for most of my life. I am Cantor Jack Kessler's son and Rabbi Marcia Prager's step-son.
My name is Amitai Gross and I will be co-directing the Ruach kid's program this summer with Hod Kessler. I have been attending Ruach since the mid-90's and was a participant in the kid's program for many years. I also helped with the large theatrical productions at Kallah in 2001, 2003, and 2005. My main interests lie in the arts, especially music, theater, and storytelling. I have a Smicha from Reb Zalman as a Maggid (storyteller/preacher) and am currently a Junior at Bennington College where I am studying Music and Conflict Resolution. I'm excited to bring a musical and artistic experience to your kids this summer.
